Arc. Lola Ibrahim MNIA M’ARCON

Lola is a registered Architect with over 20 years’ experience in the construction & real estate industry. As the BOT Chair of WAVE Foundation, she has initiated & implemented projects supporting gender and development work since 2016. An eloquent speaker, she has featured on TV, radio and different fora within and outside Nigeria.

She was recently listed as one of 100 most influential women in Africa by WIN. She is a 2021 Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Prize nominee. In 2020 Lola led a vibrant team of volunteers from WAVE to monitor distribution of Covid-19 palliatives in all the 6 Area Councils in Abuja.

Born in Gusau, Zamfara State, She speaks Hausa, Yoruba and Nupe fluently. Lola is a Cochran Fellow, Alumna of Swedish Institute, Iowa State University, Unesco-Ihe Institute of Water Education, Netherlands, US Exchange program & Federal University of Technology Minna., She is currently enrolled in African Civic Engagement Academy; University of Georgia.

Her goal is to engage communities to end VAWG, stimulate respect for all human beings, their dignity, financial inclusion, housing needs, global peace and unity.

Olawunmi Muinat Ogunturoti

Board Member

Olawunmi is a Quantity Surveyor, An Arbitrator and a Real Estate Consultant with 20 years’ experience in the built industry. Her experience spans across Banking (Project finance), Project management, Contract negotiation, Real Estate Development, Sales & Marketing, Interior design and Joinery works. She is a selfless person with flair for good finishes and an- eye for details.

She is the founding partner of Faith David Mews Nigeria Limited. She is a fellow of the Institute of professional managers & administrators of Nigeria, member of Chartered Institute of Marketers Nigeria, Member Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria and Member of Chartered Institute of Builders United Kingdom.

She is an Alumna of Metropolitan School of Business Management UK, Harvard Business School, London Business School and Federal University of Technology, Minna.

Olawunmi is a passionate humanitarian and an advocate of welfare and business improvement through a culture of health.

Amina Alhassan Ahman

Secretary, Board of Trustees

Amina Alhassan Ahman is a graduate of English Language and a media practitioner with almost 18 years work experience and strong background in Editorial and public relations, management and supervision.

She is a UNFPA-trained journalist in Public Health Reporting, Trending & Development Journalism with the aim of advocating for the reproductive health and rights of women and girls and also get first-hand information to closely align UNFPA support with Government with the aim of getting women and girls their assistance and protecting their rights.

Amina is excellent at juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure to meet and beat deadlines. She has strong leadership and relationship-building skills, is meticulous as an Editor due to her Print media background.

Amina is passionate about Community service and community outreach and enjoys Writing/Blogging, Reading, among other pastimes. Well-travelled, she has visited many countries around the world and states within Nigeria.

She is a mother of four children.

Executive Director: Administration, Partnerships and Resource Management

Chinazo Nnacheta Mbaonu is a passionate and skilful health Geographer. He studied Geography (Bsc) at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, specialized in Health Geography and is currently studying Masters in Environmental Management at Teesside University, United Kingdom.

He also took courses with World Health Organization (WHO) and USAID such as M&E fundamentals, Geographic approaches to Global Health, Mortality Surveillance Methods and Strategies, Population, Health and Environment, Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health 101[USAID] and is a graduated member of Nigerian institute of management (Chartered)

Chinazo has acquired lots of experience including 10 years administrative experience and managerial roles some of them include; working with WHO as an enhanced independent Monitor during polio outbreak response in Oyo State and Kwara State and being a Water resource analyst and urban planner with 6 years background in spatial analysis. He also monitored presidential election in 2015.

His Core competencies includes GIS, Urban Planning, Data Collection and Analysis, Report writing, strategic planning, Disaster management, Community development/Rural Development, M&E and Project Management as well as excellent communication and time management skills. Chinazo is a Girls and Women rights defender who is very passionate about stopping Gender based violence, with interest in improving the standard of living of women and girls.

Executive Director; Media & Communication

Emmanuel Joseph is a trained media and event planner. An expert photographer with over 15 years’ experience in the industry. He is an indigene of Osun State, who was born and bred in Zaria, Kaduna State. He started his education in Total child Primary School, Zaria and proceeded to Knowledge is Power Secondary School, Zaria.

He has a BA Archaeology and History from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and currently doing his Masters, MA Archaeology in the same University.

He speaks, writes and reads English, Hausa and Yoruba Languages fluently. He is also the Media Consultant at Mailafia Foundation, Media Head Presplay, Nigeria North Zone 2015 and Head of Cinematography at Lightnshades Creative.

Executive Director; Program, Planning & Advocacy

Amina Elias Danjuma hails from Jaba LGA of Kaduna State, with an optimal blend of educational experience from the Northern and Southern parts of Nigeria which helped birth an innate desire to be a Girl Child Advocate.

She started out in Government Girls Secondary School, Giwa, then went ahead to complete her secondary school education in Paradise Int’l Secondary Schools, Port Harcourt.

She proceeded in her educational pursuit and obtained her B.Sc in Public Health from Madonna University, Rivers State, and a PGD in Public Health alongside other numerous professional certificates. She’s currently in training to acquire her MPH.

Post NYSC, Amina has worked progressively with both Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations as an expert in technical and Programmatic Support, Data Management, DQA support, Case Management, and Site Improvement Strategies, Community ART Facilitator, Consultant, M& E Specialist, Program Advocacy Officer and most importantly as an advocate against FGM and Violence against Women & Girls.

Amina’s favorite mantra is that “Change can come, and it need not be with an astronomical price”
